Shakeo Mug Cake

OMGGGGGG ya'll. My newest obsession. Chocolate peanut butter mug cake. Hell yes. I don't know about you, but I kinda have a sweet tooth. it doesn't matter how healthy I am my body genuinely craves sugar. However, I know loading up on junk food won't bless me or my body. So I am always on the look out for healthier sweet options. I normally have a daily Supershake. Its a product my company creates and it helps me fight that sweet craving, while getting my daily source of vitamins and nutrients. For those anti veggie eaters, like I used to be - this is the perfect way to help supplement, since it acts like 7 salads but takes like a milkshake. HOWEVER. I despiseeeeee cold weather. I dislike being cold. It makes me grumpy. As the snow rolls into central Illinois I'm finding I don't want a milkshake, so I've been trying new ways to enjoy my supershake. Let me share with you, my mug cake recipe! Ingredients 1 scoop chocolate Shakeology 1 egg 3 tablespoons w...

Its holiday season and that means all the treats! Sometimes potluck style foods can add up quick so I want to share with you one of my simple, easy and affordable snack food that you can take to your next party. Mexican Style Pinwheels. I honestly don't remember where I first saw these, but over time I've added my own spin, flare and adjustments. Ingredients: Flour tortillas : .89 cents x 2 = 1.78 Canned Chicken: .98 x3 = 2.94 Taco Seasoning: .23 cents Cream Cheese: 1.89 Shredded Cheese: $1.99 Optional: Hot Sauce: .89 cents Rotel tomato & green chilies: .98 cents Total cost: $9.72 Directions Mix all ingredients in a big bowl! I prefer the hot sauce over Rotel just because its smoother and doesn't make the tortillas soggy. If you do use the tomato and green chilies, be sure and drain the juice as much as possible! I also love to use my mixer to stir it all together it makes the chicken super fine and the cream cheese blend in smoothly. Add the hot sauce ...

So I want to really focus on bringing that to you! I get all the time people who say they cant eat healthy because..... they can't afford it. I think this is karma because I used to use this excuse NONstop as I drove through fast food and went out to eat constantly. Anyways, I'm gonna start something called $10 Dollar Tuesdays where I share a meal with you that I made that costs me less than $10! You in?!? Our first $10 meal >> BBQ Chicken! One thing youll learn with me is that I love the grill (again back to the clean up aspect). For cheap and simple, I keep it basic. A meat, a potato & a veggie. Green beans wouldn't be my top veggie pick, but they are cheaper for us since we can them &&& my family actually likes them-- dinner wit...

Cauliflower Fried Rice

You ever see those recipes and think, weird. Why would anyone want to eat that? That was me when I heard of this craziness called cauliflower rice. Last week however I didn't have much in the house but a random bag of cauliflower rice, so I thought, why not try it?!? Yall, I was pleasantly surprised. It tastes amazing and isn't crispy like brown rice can be when you cook it. Not to mention, you get those servings of veggies in without feeling like you're eating veggies!  So seriously, go try ittttt! Ingredients 1 bag cauliflower rice 1/4 cup peas & carrots 1/4 cup onion 1/2 cup broccoli 1/4 cup green bell pepper.  1 tablespoon garlic 2 tablespoons olive oil (or sesame oil) 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 eggs Directions Put the oil in the pan & sautee onions. Add in other veggies -- minus cauliflower-- and cook on low until tender. Add in garlic & stir. Place the frozen cauliflower rice in the pan & put the soy sauce on top. Let cook...

No Bake Super Cookie

Anyone else struggle with after school snacks? My kids, they LOVE junk. They walk in the door begging for candy, chips, cookies. All the things they don't need. I've made it a mission of mine to provide them healthy options when they get home. Today we are mixing up an old favorite &&& we even put a spin on it! No Bake Cookies, make with my supershake (Shakeology). We did vanilla & chocolate because my oldest is just like me; NOT a chocolate eater. So he has peanut butter flavor. These boys are gonna go nutsssss for these. I LOVE this option because its sweet, so to them its a treat. But it has the vitamins and nutrients from my supershake to help fuel their body (it acts like 7 salads) so #momwin I don't feel guilty packing this in their lunch, letting them grab a couple as they run and play. No Bake Super Cookie Ingredients: 2 scoops chocolate Shakeology OR vanilla Shakeology 1 cup oats 1 cup Peanut Butter 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup coconut o...

Twiced Baked Potatoes

"My husband is a meat and potato guy." ^^^this is one of the most common objections I get when it comes to women starting their health and fitness journey. I get it, my husband is too! But just because your husband loves meat & potatoes, doesn't mean you can't start YOUR journey. I know, I know. You don't want to make multiple meals. THAT IS ME. I refuse. You're not going to see me catering to everyone's pickiness. I make one meal and they get to choose if they eat it or not. So maybe you got a meat and potato man. Let me share with you one of my favorite potato recipes. Simple, delicious and family friendly. Twice baked potatoes Ingredients 4 potatoes 6 slices of bacon 1-2 Tablespoons sour cream (can substitute Greek yogurt instead) Himalayan pink salt ground pepper onion powder 3/4 cup shredded cheese Instructions Rinse off your potatoes and stabbed multiple times with a fork. rap eat potato individually in plastic wrap in microwave for 3 minutes. ...
